Math Tutoring

We are excited to announce we will be starting a new after school math peer tutoring program at Oceana this year. Ms. Mittal (math teacher), and Mr. Mattias (school counselor, former math teacher) will be hosting tutoring in the Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, starting September 9th. We'll be offering two levels of peer support.

Drop-in Tutoring
- No commitment, no sign-up required, students can come whenever they need it
- Work with a peer tutor on assignments, prepare for assessments
- There's no question we can't tackle together!

Math Coaching
- Students commit to at least one day a week. Sign up required via this form.
- Form a long-term partnership with a peer coach, supervised closely by staff, individualizing math practice based on your student's needs
- Students work not only on homework but on tackling gaps in their prior math learning
