National Equity Project Student Survey

Instructions on how to translate the survey:

Launch the Google Form you want to translate.
Right-click anywhere on the form.
Choose "Translate" or "Translate to" from the context menu.
A dropdown menu will appear. Choose the desired language.
Click the "Translate" button to apply the translation.
Once translated, review the form and make any necessary edits or adjustments to ensure accuracy, especially for complex questions or multiple choice options.

The Oceana Student Parent Teacher Organization works with families, faculty and administration to organize and facilitate events that serve to enrich our children's educational experience and build a stronger community. We help to fund programs and events at Oceana and also to increase communication between the school and families.

How to Report an Absence

Attendance Office: 650-550-7314 & OHSAttendance@jeffersonunion.net

Oceana places high value on instructional time and therefore students are expected to be punctual for all classes. Teachers and students depend on an uninterrupted classroom experience to best facilitate the learning experience. Students who are consistently absent or tardy are in violation of this norm.

However, absences do occur and can be excused. To excuse an absence a parent or guardian should notify the school within 24 hours via the Attendance Office at 650-550-7314 or email OHSAttendance@jeffersonunion.net. If no phone call or email is received following an absence, the student must report directly to the Attendance Office with a note written and signed by a parent or guardian before admission to class is authorized. Notes must include the following information:

Student's full name
Parent/Guardian telephone number
Specific reason for absence (illness, doctor/dentist appt.)
Dates and/or periods absent
Signature of parent or legal guardian

How to Check Grades

ParentVue

To view Current Grades and Assignments:

Log into ParentVUE
Click "Grade Book" on the left side
Click a course to open up the list of assignments

To view absences and tardies:

Log into ParentVUE
Click "Attendance" on the left side
View attendance by calendar or by periods

To view graduation progress:

Log into ParentVUE
Click "Course History" on the left side
Green means completed, yellow is in progress (current classes)

How to Get a Work Permit

How students can apply for their work permits during the Summer

CLICK HERE TO PRINT OUT THE WORK PERMIT APPLICATION FORM

Fill out the top section with your information. Do not forget to include a phone number and your social security number.
The employer will fill out and sign the middle section
Then your parent/guardian will need to sign/date it.
Take a picture of the completed work permit application and email it to jarciniega@jeffersonunion.net.
Once issued the work permit (can take up to 48 hours), it will be emailed back to back to you.
You will need to sign the work permit, before handing it to your employer.
