Our School

Oceana High School in Pacifica, California, is part of the Jefferson Union High School District. Oceana is recognized for commitment to project-based learning and fostering a strong sense of community. Oceana has implements a block schedule system, where students attend three classes per day, each lasting about 90 minutes. This schedule promotes deeper engagement with subjects, especially in humanities courses like English and history, where project-based assignments are the norm.

Oceana offers a range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses and has a history of strong academic performance. Oceana is known for its supportive learning environment, where students and staff work together through councils and school-wide projects to continuously innovate and improve educational outcomes. All graduates will complete the Senior Exhibition capstone project which will allow all Oceana graduates earn the Seal of Civic Engagement on their diploma when they graduate.
