Volleyball

As Oceana's main venue of everything volleyball, we host flextimes and after school meetings to aid in the honing of our member’s expertise in playing the sport and having fun! We overview and promote the playing of competitive and non-competitive games almost every week! Our club strives to create a safe, fun, yet challenging space where we have all of our members engage with each other in exciting matches! We’ll be hosting tournaments too, so stay tuned for those if that is of  interest!

Day/Time:@ Flextime and after school Wednesday

Ocean Conservation

The Oceana Ocean Conservation club is committed to promoting environmental sustainability, finding creative ways to protect our ocean and our campus, and having fun!  You can earn community service hours.  We host beach/campus cleanups, cigarette butt walks, and other fun community activities.

Art Club

Art Club provides students with a creative space to practice their artistic techniques, collaborate with other artists with shared interests, and have fun creating art and doing group art-related projects!

Future Medical Professionals

Future Medical Professionals aims to expose individuals to the vast realm of medicine, nurturing their interests in furthering their exploration of the medical field in the present and future.  All participants will expand their knowledge and simultaneously have fun through meeting with experts, learning vital procedures, and engaging in hands-on activities.

Time/Date: Mondays during flextime

Creative Writing

The Creative Writing Club provides a safe and welcoming space for writers of all different skill levels to practice writing creatively and share their writing with others. It is a place where people of different personalities, backgrounds, and writing styles can come together to passionately express themselves, sometimes collaboratively.

Time/Date: Mondays after school from 3:10pm to 4:00pm.

 

Location: Room 213

Badminton Club

The Badminton Club focuses on honing our skills and building community. We welcome everyone into our space regardless of their skill level. 

We offer a competitive and recreational branch for players to partake in. Competitive practices take place after school once a week on either Monday or Friday, and recreational is open to all during Flextimes every other Thursday.

Garden Club 

Garden club is a club where you can build a community, as well as take care of cute chickens and baby ducks. You can see the variety of plants and fruits Oceana students have grown, and--if lucky--you can eat them!

Black Latinx Student Union

BLSU is a dynamic, inclusive community that passionately advocates for diversity. We celebrate and raise awareness about various issues impacting a mix of cultures and races, inspiring everyone involved.

Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) Club

A safe space for Oceana students to have fun, create community, learn about the LGBTQIA+ community, and to feel accepted in their identities. 

This year, the club hopes to educate students and staff, help members create change to make Oceana more inclusive, and to treat our community to field trips and fun activities.

Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Club The Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Club promotes cultural awareness, unity, and empowerment among all students of Asian and Pacific Islander heritage. The club provides a platform for members to celebrate their diverse cultures, share experiences, and engage in meaningful discussions about identity, history, and social issues. Through school events, cultural games, and cultural activities, AAPI Club provides an inclusive environment that educates the AAPI community.

Kapwa Club Kumusta! Kapwa welcomes everyone into our club. Our mission goal focuses on building and strengthening an inclusive community at Oceana while expressing and celebrating Filipino culture!

K-Pop Club K-Pop Club is a welcoming space for students to listen to K-Pop and talk about K-Pop-related topics. During K-Pop Club, students can sing karaoke, play games, listen to music, watch K-
Pop-related shows and movies, make friends, and hangout.

Location: Oceana Bandroom

Dance Team We are dedicated to bringing dance to the Oceana community through engaging classes and a variety of choreographies. With a focus on synchronization, skill, technique, and quality movement, our team will make covers and put on fun performances that will showcase what dance is all about.

Math Club Math Club is dedicated to fostering a love for mathematics and problem-solving. It provides an encouraging and less intimidating environment for students to explore mathematical concepts, collaborate on challenging problems, and participate in local and national math competitions. Through activities such as peer tutoring, math games, and math analysis, the club aims to enhance members' analytical skills and inspire a deeper appreciation for mathematics in everyday life.

Music Club The Musician’s Alliance is a club for musically inclined and interested individuals, and a place where they can hone their instrumental skills, improve the quality of their music, and practice playing with other like-minded students.

Singing Club Singing club is a club dedicated to sharing performance art. They host karaoke, collaborate on music, and give students a platform to share their art! Singing club is open to all, regardless of experience or background in singing.

Robotics Club Hey Sharks! Want to dive into the world of innovation and technology? Are you interested in building a robot, designing, making strategies, or more? Join the Robotics Team every Monday or Tuesday during Flextime! No experience needed! Just bring your curiosity and creativity. See you there!

Chosen Culture Club Our mission is to teach more about Jesus. Also how to live according to the Bible. We are a Chosen Generation. During our meeting we do a quick prayer and bible study. We also give out food! We meet twice a month.  
Flag Football Club Flag Football Club of Oceana is welcoming to anyone who is interested in participating in the sport, available to all! The club’s goal is to have an inclusive environment and to give everyone an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the sport, make new friends, and overall have a lot of fun during their experience.
