Do you want to help in a Pacifica School? If so, you MUST come to the Little Theater after school on Wednesday, Sept. 15th at 1pm for a mandatory orientation BEFORE you start. You will get one hour for this meeting.
Join the annual Coastal Clean Up Day with a group of students from Oceana! Saturday, Sept. 18th from 9-1:30. Contact Mr. Orth in room 304 to sign up! Wear good shoes and clothes that can get dirty!
Work with the National Park Service in Oceana’s native plant nursery: Starting Sept. 1st, earn 2-3 hours of community service each Wednesday after school behind the cafeteria. It is a lot of fun and the work helps improve endangered species habitat in local national parks. Wear good shoes and clothes that can get dirty!

Do community service at the Fog Fest!Come to the Fog Fest on Sat. and Sun. Sept. 25th & 26th and help the Save Our Schools Coalition and the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee register voters and give out information on Measure P. There are two hour shifts each day starting at 10am. See Ms. Ambrose in Office 12 to sign up.

Join Interact Club. Enjoy doing community service? This club does activities outside of school that count as community service! We meet Mondays at lunch in room 213.
Help feed folks in San Francisco at Glide Memorial Church: The1st Community Service at Glide is Saturday, September 25th. Sign up with Ms. Sotomayor in room 208 for a permission slip and more details. Future Glide date are: November 20, January 22, 2011. February 26, 2011, April 23, 2011 and May 7, 2011.

Do you want to work with wild animals? The Wildlife Associates, a wildlife sanctuary in Half Moon Bay needs teen animal care volunteers who help by preparing animals’ diets, assisting with cage cleaning, helping maintain the sanctuary through painting and weeding, giving presentations and classes.
