WORK WITH THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE IN OCEANA’S NATIVE PLANT NURSERY:Earn 2-3 hours of community service each Wednesday after school behind the cafeteria. It is a lot of fun! Wear good shoes and clothes that can get dirty!
TEEN READER LEADERS NEEDED AT THE SHARP PARK LIBRARY:Help children become better readers! Minimum commitment is one hour a week. See Ms. Ambrose for an application.
DO YOU WANT TO WORK WITH WILD ANIMALS? The Wildlife Associates, a wildlife sanctuary in Half Moon Bay (you can take the bus there) needs teen animal care volunteers who help by preparing animals’ diets, assisting with cage cleaning, helping maintain the sanctuary through painting and weeding, giving presentations and classes.
